HOPLON

The HOPLON shield is a protective device that has been developed with the help of healthcare professionals to adapt to people with mental disabilities in behavioral crisis situations. It comes into play when attempts to mediate through words have failed.

It enables caregivers to protect themselves from hetero-aggressive gestures, while maintaining visual contact with the patient and ensuring that he or she is not injured.

Modular and covering a large surface area, it can be used to partition off separate areas and immediately secure a group of people from an agitated person. It gives us time to consider other, more invasive interventions, if necessary, under calmer conditions. When necessary, the HOPLON can also be used to support horizontal physical restraints, which are less restrictive and more comfortable.
